# Java 1.21.11 slime chunk model

Chunk qualification uses the vanilla salt 987234911. For signed 32-bit chunk coordinates X,Z:

1. Start with the signed 64-bit world seed.
2. Add int32(X×X×4987142), int32(X×5947611), int32(Z×Z)×4392871 as a long, and int32(Z×389711).
3. Wrap the sum as a signed 64-bit long, then XOR with the salt.
4. Initialize Java's 48-bit Random using (seed XOR 0x5DEECE66D) AND (2^48−1).
5. Advance with multiplier 0x5DEECE66D and increment 11. Use the same rejection rule as Java nextInt(10).
6. A result of zero qualifies the chunk.

Numeric seeds use exact signed 64-bit strings. Non-numeric strings use Java UTF-16 String.hashCode, interpreted as a signed long. Numeric strings outside the signed-long range are rejected explicitly.

This original implementation is checked against the official WorldgenRandom.seedSlimeChunk method for 108 seeds/coordinates, including negative positions, overflow-sensitive positions and long endpoints. It does not simulate biome, height or mob-cap spawning conditions. Bedrock is unsupported.
